Who these terms are with

This website, bednars.me, is operated by Piotr Bednarski ("I", "me", "the publisher"). I am based in Poland. You can reach me at piotr@bednars.me.

Paid memberships are sold through Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"). Paddle is the Merchant of Record. When you subscribe, you buy from Paddle, not directly from me. Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to the purchase.

What you can buy

bednars.me Membership is a paid subscription. It unlocks paywalled articles and other members-only writing published on this website for as long as the subscription is active.

The membership includes:

• Access to articles placed behind the paywall on bednars.me
• Access on ordinary web browsers, for your personal use

The membership does not include:

• The free email newsletter, which stays free and separate
• Consulting, audits, or any one-to-one work
• A guaranteed number of new posts in any period
• Downloadable files, source code, or a licence to republish my writing

I may add, move, or remove paywalled pieces over time. A change to the catalogue is not a defect in the subscription.

Prices

Current plans:

• Monthly: USD 5 per month
• Yearly: USD 50 per year

The price you pay is the price shown at Paddle checkout. Paddle may add taxes (such as VAT) where the law requires it. Those taxes are collected by Paddle. See Pricing for the same figures in one place.

Subscriptions and renewal

Memberships renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel. Paddle charges the payment method you used at checkout.

You can cancel through the link in your Paddle receipt or by writing to piotr@bednars.me. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, unless you receive a refund.

If a renewal payment fails, access may pause until payment succeeds or the subscription ends.

Refunds

You can request a refund within 14 days of a purchase, no questions asked. Details are in the Refund Policy.

Using the site

You agree not to:

• Share your membership login or paywalled copies with others
• Scrape, bulk-download, or republish members-only writing
• Circumvent the paywall or attack the site
• Use the site to break the law

I may suspend access if these rules are broken. Public pages stay readable without a membership.

Intellectual property

Writing, images, and other material on bednars.me belong to me unless a credit says otherwise. A membership is a personal right to read the paywalled work. It is not a transfer of copyright.

Availability

I try to keep the site up, but I do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, outages, or changes to hosting can happen. The site is provided as is.

Liability

The writing on this site is my opinion and technical notes. It is not professional advice you should rely on without your own judgement. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, or opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Polish or applicable consumer law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

If you buy as a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, your statutory rights are not affected.

Privacy

How I handle personal data is described in the Privacy Notice. Payment data is handled by Paddle under Paddle's privacy notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on mandatory protections of the country where you live. Courts in Poland have jurisdiction, without limiting any right you have to sue in your home country as a consumer.

Changes

I may update these terms. The date at the top will change. For an active paid subscription, material changes will apply from the next renewal unless the law requires otherwise. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
