Refund Policy
How refunds work for the paid membership.
Last updated: 19 August 2026
Who issues the refund
Memberships are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd as Merchant of Record. Paddle charges your card, puts tax on the receipt, and pays out the refund. I, Piotr Bednarski, decide whether a request is approved under this policy and help you file it.
Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply.
14 days, no questions asked
You can get a full refund within 14 days of a membership charge (the first payment or a renewal). You do not have to give a reason.
The refund covers that charge. If taxes were collected on it, they are refunded with it through Paddle.
This matches the usual EU cooling-off period for distance sales. If a law where you live gives you a longer or stronger right, that law wins.
How to ask
Do one of the following:
- Email piotr@bednars.me with the email used at checkout and the order number from your Paddle receipt
- Open a request with Paddle at paddle.net or via the support link in your receipt
I aim to reply within a few business days. Paddle then sends the money back to the original payment method. Bank timing is outside my control, but it is usually a few days.
After a refund
Paywalled access for that membership ends when the refund is approved. Public articles and the free newsletter are unaffected.
After 14 days
I do not offer a voluntary refund once 14 days have passed, except where the law requires one (for example a serious defect I cannot fix). Cancelling a subscription after that window stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period already paid.
Chargebacks
If something is wrong, email me or Paddle first. A card chargeback is slower for everyone and can close the membership immediately. I still honour this policy if you write in time.
Prices this policy applies to
Monthly membership at USD 5 and yearly membership at USD 50, as shown on Pricing and at checkout.
